Why Choose The Festival of Lights, Diwali for a Visit

The Festival of Lights, originally Diwali (Dīpāvalī; Marathi: दिवाळी, Diwali; Hindi: दिवाली, Diwali; Tamil: தீபாவளி, Deepavali), In Malaysia, this festival is called Deepavali, while in Taiwan and China are called Light Festival. It is a five-day celebration on the first new moon day of the first week of August or the first week of August in the Indian calendar (that is, late October or early November in the Gregorian calendar). In the traditional custom, the people celebrate the festival of “dispelling darkness with light, defeating evil with goodness.” Later, Diwali was also a celebration of “inner light.” Even a some section of Buddhist followers celebrate this festival. Since this is a significant Hindu festival, many people later treated this festival as one of Indian’s New Year.
The beautiful Diwali Festival symbolizes light and hope. Every household will clean up and tidy up the house the day before Diwali Festival, just like the Chinese celebrate the Spring Festival. People will wear brand new clothes, and children will take a bath in the Ganga river and wash away the dirt on their bodies to purify their body and spiritually. On this day, every household will use colorful lights to decorate their homes and temples, etc. During the night, colorful fireworks will be lit to illuminate the night sky. Vibrant bright light illuminates the night, filling the hearts of countless people with joy and hope, and symbolizes the victory of light, justice over evil, knowledge over ignorance, hope over despair, and numerous people’s yearning for an ideal world! On the night of the Diwali celebration, most people will join in a family-based prayer and blessing ceremony and make their wishes to the Goddess Lakshmi, who symbolizes wealth and abundance. In addition to devout believers from all over the world visiting temples, lighting lamps and praying for blessings, everyone will exchange gifts and taste various delicious snacks, which is a time that full of joy and happiness.
The significance of this soul purification and retreat journey is not only to allow everyone to experience cultural festivals but, more importantly, to make everyone more aware, to experience how to ignite our light in our inner soul during our darkest period of time, and learn to let ourself become a light to illuminate the world. The essence of the light of the soul is to learn to purify ourself, respect ourself, and connecting to our higher self of divinity wisdom.
